Over Thanksgiving break, the Eisenhower Troupe 4588 attended the Texas State Thespian Festival at the Gaylord Texan Resort Convention Center, in Grapevine, TX. At this year’s festival, over 6,000 theatre students attended from all over the state to compete in performance and technical divisions. This year, 27 troupe members traveled to compete in 3 performance categories ( monologue, group acting and solo musical) and 5 technical categories (costume, light, marketing, set and tech challenge) and out of those 27 students, 18 made Nationals with Superior Ratings. We had 7 of our technical theatre students compete in the Tech Challenge, which is a variety of challenges in the tech arena (quick changes, focus a light, sew a button, etc). We received an individual award for the quickest time to focus a light- 1min 28 seconds
Congratulations to the following students who will be attending Nationals at Indiana University in June 2022 #swooptroupenation!
