Thursday November 9th Eisenhower Nine College Prep students visited the campus of SHSU to get a unique tour experience.
The visit began with a welcome speech from Dean Holt, participating in a college-level geography course and talking to freshmen in college about student life.
Afterwards, our young scholars trekked across campus to the Field House to hear motivational words from student athletes about maintaining balance while in college between academics, activities and future career opportunities. Our young eagles had many questions for the student athletes and coaches.
The final stop was Old Main, where the dining hall is located. Students got to have an authentic experience of ‘college student life’ while eating in the dining hall. The all-you-can-eat options were both enjoyable and an exciting treat before students headed back home to Ike 9.
